Please donate towards Tia's surgery. She must have her upper teeth removed and the surgery will take place at our partner vet Town N Country Animal Hospital.
Tia is two years old, combo tested negative, and has healthy skin with beautiful long fur. She didn't always have it so good though. She was a feral baby with malnutrition and serious illness. Thankfully, Sparkle Cat Rescue took her in as a kitten to ensure her survival.
After two years of vet visits, various medicines, and specialty foods, it has become clear that her residual medical issues are not going to be easily fixed. She has moved to a new foster home where she can receive one-on-one attention and more intensive treatment.
Tia has a rare type of bacterial infection on her teeth that is antibiotic resistant. This is causing her to have recurring extreme gingivitis with swelling, inflammation, and a lot of pain. Although pain medicine and antibiotics help, it cannot be cured, and it is less effective with every round of antibiotics.
Surgery will help her other ailments too. The bad mouth isn't just affecting her eating, which has caused her to have fur loss and she's lost weight.
Tia needs dental extractions as soon as possible in order to help her eat enough and to improve her overall health. She has had the preliminary bloodwork and exam necessary to qualify her for surgery, but we need the money to make it happen. Town N Country provided an estimate between $526.47 and $721.71 for surgical extractions as the first step to getting this beauty on the road to recovery. Sparkle Cat Rescue must raise these funds as soon as possible!
She is a cuddly doll baby who obviously loves to read and has acclimated remarkably quickly to her library suite.
