FOSTER PARENT: Without foster homes, Sparkle Cat Rescue cannot intake new animals without foster homes to welcome them. Sparkle Cat Rescue provides medical care to the foster families, and food can be provided if you are unable to provide it.
Any personal pets in home must be spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, and FeLV negative (cats).
Foster parents must be willing to attend adoption events in Burlington, Greensboro and Mebane, NC and to transport animals to our clinic facilities in Burlington, Greensboro and Mebane, NC.
ADOPTABLE CATS NOTEBOOK: Maintain the photo album that is kept at Petsmart in Burlington, NC with photos and bios of every cat in our adoption program. Requires computer and internet skills and creativity with a photo design website to edit photos and add names of cats to photo, save to your computer and upload to a retail site to order prints with our account.
ADOPTION EVENT AMBASSADOR Responsible for posting the names of the attendees on Facebook and communicating with Executive Director who will be attending the week before the event, and, on the day of the event, setting up crates for the cats, ensuring that the event goes smoothly, and overseeing the clean-up afterward.
ADOPTION CENTER VOLUNTEER (Pet Smart, Burlington NC): Provide care and entertainment for cats staying at adoption center.
IN-STORE ADOPTION SPECIALIST: Meet with potential adopters at Pet Smart Adoption Center in Burlington NC on weekends when we do not have an adoption event there.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - Respond to volunteer applications and requests for information about volunteering. Present the volunteer orientation once a month. Work with team leaders to identify volunteer needs and to match volunteers with those needs.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATION TEAM – Organize casual events for volunteers to meet and socialize every six weeks or so. Assist the volunteer coordinator by following up with new volunteers to make sure they have found a job that suits them.
