donate and sponsor A SPARKLE KITTY'S VET CARE EXPENSES!
January 29, 2018
Please donate if you can. No amount is too small.
Sparkle Cat Rescue still needs to raise money for 39 cats and kittens that came through our program in 2017 and in January 2018, and for which we have already paid for many of their vet expenses with the exception of new kittens who still have boosters and future Spay/neuter/rabies vaccines. Those 39 cats and kittens general vet care expenses total $6,815.00. We accepted those cats and kittens into our program without the promise of donations. Beginning in December 2017, we started asking for pledges to be honored before we take any cats or kittens into our program.
We do have funds set aside for Angelica's future surgery and our TNR fund money is set aside for future TNR work.
We are asking our friends and supporters to donate as little as $5 so we can continue to help the homeless cats in our community. In the last month we have incurred over $1500 in vet expenses. Our general fund has also been having to cover food and litter expenses in January since we don't get regular donations of those items.
Sparkle Cat Rescue's vet bills continue to be high each month. In the last month we've had unexpected expenses with upper respiratory illnesses, Champ's illness, Mina's unexpected and upcoming dental surgery, Scooter and Marsala's upper respiratory issues, Gidget and Edison's upper respiratory illnesses, and more.
Without regular donations and with continued unexpected vet expenses for cats currently in our program (over 100), we have to limit the rescue of homeless cats in the community. Your donations can change that if we can build our funds back up.
If you would like to hold a fundraiser for Sparkle Cat Rescue, please contact us at email@example.com We also would like to do another online auction but we need donations of gift certificates, gift baskets, gently used and new items, We would welcome a food/litter drive and will promote your business if you hold any kind of fundraiser for us.
Sparkle Cat Rescue is an all volunteer 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and your donations are tax deductible.
Between January 1 and December 31, 2017, our vet expenses were ~ $48,000.00!
Since our incorporation on November 6, 2014, our organization has rescued over 470 cats that were once 'forgotten felines': abandoned, abused, homeless, injured, neglected. They have been provided much needed vet care and sent to wonderful foster homes preparing for their forever home. We have adopted out over 300 cats since we formed.
This is all thanks to our wonderful supporters and donors. We need you now more than ever!
