All  money raised in this fundraiser will benefit our Dry FIP boy, Elliott.  He was diagnosed with FIP on January 24, 2022 and has been making great improvement with GS treatment.

​Elliott was rescued October 18, 2021. He was malnourished and under 3 lbs at 9 months of age - he should have been at least 7 lbs. We got him healthy (or so we thought) and on December 28, he weighed over 6 lbs. Fast forward to January 22...we noticed something was not right with Elliott.  The eyes.  The look we see when a cat has FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). 

"FIP is a disease that kills 1 in 100 to 1 in 300 of all cats under ages 3-5. The incidence can be five to 10 times greater among young cats coming from catteries and shelters. FIP is virtually 100% fatal, and there is no treatment or cure that is FDA approved. However, treatment options do exist. FIP can manifest suddenly — weeks, months or even years after initial infection. Therefore, cat lovers usually experience the heartbreak of this disease long after they have developed strong emotional bonds with their pets." (Source: SOCK FIP-FIP Research Project)
