Each KITTEN in our program incurs $165 (male) to $185 (female) in standard vet care.
This includes: combo (snap) test, set of 3 kitten boosters, rabies vaccination (at 4 months old), spay/neuter, pain meds for females after spay, and microchip.
Each ADULT cat in our program incurs $135 (male) to $155 (female) in standard vet care
This includes: combo test, FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, spay/neuter, pain meds for females after spay, and microchip.

Without regular donations and with continued unexpected vet expenses for cats currently in our program (over 100), we have to limit the rescue of homeless cats in the community. Your donations do make a difference in the lives of the 'forgotten felines' in our community.
Sparkle Cat Rescue is an all volunteer 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and your donations are tax deductible.
In 2017, our vet expenses were ~ $48,000.00!
Since our incorporation on November 6, 2014, our organization has rescued 501 cats and kittens that were once 'forgotten felines': abandoned, abused, homeless, injured, neglected. They have been provided much needed vet care and sent to wonderful foster homes preparing for their forever home.

EVERY cat and kitten we take into our program receives full vet care as part of our adoption package. This includes spay/neuter, combo testing, microchip, rabies vaccination, FVRCP adult vaccination, and a series of three kitten boosters for kittens.
WHAT IS FULL STANDARD VET CARE?
A female Sparkle kitten's full standard vet care through our program is $185.00*. This includes their spay/pain meds.
A male Sparkle kitten's full standard vet care through our program is $165.00*. This includes their neuter.
A female Sparkle adult cat's full standard vet care through our program is $155.00*. This includes their spay/pain meds.
A male Sparkle adult cat's full standard vet care through our program is $135.00*. This includes their neuter.
*Full standard vet care only covers spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, FVRCP adult vaccination, FVRCP kitten boosters (series of 3), combo test. The full standard vet care explained above does NOT include additional expenses if a kitten/cat becomes sick and requires medications, examinations, emergency care, etc.*
WHAT IS GENERAL VET CARE?
A number of sponsors prefer to pay for spay/neuter surgeries and that leaves general vet care needing to be sponsored.
A female Sparkle kitten's general vet care through our program MINUS the spay/pain meds that have already been sponsored is $130.00.
A male Sparkle kitten's general vet care through our program MINUS the neuter that has already been sponsored is $130.00.
A female Sparkle adult cat's general vet care through our program MINUS the spay/pain meds that have already been sponsored is $77.00.
A male Sparkle adult cat's general vet care through our program MINUS the neuter that has already been sponsored is $77.00.

All medical care expenses our program will incur each year includes the following:

Office Visit - initial exam
Fecal Tests

Monthly flea prevention
Deworming medicine
Albon medication for coccidia
Eye ointments for kitties with eye infections
Insulin and syringes for our diabetic cat Bogey
Special diet food for special needs cats Martha, Jessie, Bogey
Emergency vet care
X-Rays
Ultrasounds
